
The Health for Life Level 1 Certificate in Exercise Studies and the Health for Life Level 2 Certificate in Improving Personal Exercise and Nutrition are suitable for anyone currently living and/or working in Scotland, who wants to improve their health, fitness and diet and generally address key lifestyle issues.
In addition to helping improve general health, fitness and lifestyle, these flexible learning courses are designed to enhance motivation, as well as supplementing your skills base. The courses can provide ways of addressing key work-life balance issues, such as the reduction of stress through exercise, developing an awareness of the essentials for a healthy lifestyle, problem-solving and communication.
Our courses can provide evidence towards meeting some of the criteria for the Healthy Working Lives Award programme.
The courses are delivered by distance learning and are fully supported by further education colleges with guidance provided by qualified tutors. Exercise and nutritional experts have developed the course content, which is contained in three workbooks, with accompanying short assessment papers.
There are NO fees for any of the courses as they are funded through the college(s) delivering the programme of study.
However, please note when you enrol on a course, you will be expected to complete the programme in full or in part.Courses available
